SEO Do’s and Don’ts for ranking no.1 in Google
SEO Do’s and Don’ts for ranking no.1 in Google

People often wonder why it is so important to strive for Numero Uno (Number One) position in Google’s ranking. The primary aspect is obviously.. Traffic & Money.

If you are number one in Google’s ranking, you will attract the major chunk of visitor’s clicks and will receive larger share of clicks than others, which will be more than the 8 SERP listings. This relies upon the Clickability of SERP snippet on your search engine results page and its relevance with the competing pages snippets for that query.

To be on number one spot in search listing, you need to work carefully and be tactful. We have compiled some potential Do’s and Don’ts for SEO to help you achieve success in search engine ranking.

  • Use backlinks from most reputable and relevant sites in your industry only
  • To dominate the search engine competition always write quality, well-researched and engaging content because “Content is King”
  • Increase the chances of getting high ranking on Google, use main keywords not just in the body text but also in the title and meta description
  • Use Google Keyword Tool to find out the best and most searched keywords for your chosen topic. This would help in including the most powerful keywords
  • Reach out to newer audience by contributing on other popular websites as a guest blogger. In this regard choose the websites wisely and opt for the ones that are most popular and reputed
  • Not just building backlinks is important but monitoring them is equally vital for SEO. So, you must maintain clean and clear backlink profile
  • Creating internal links is probably the most effective method to build links to your content. In fact, internal links are also an important factor of consideration at Google ranking criteria. Internal links also help search engines in indexing your content quickly
  • Creating inforgraphics will help in building quality backlinks and would definitely drive traffic to your website
  • You might think that creating a sitemap won’t be as helpful in attaining top position at Google but it actually is. Sitemaps help Google find and index all the pages on your website
  • Creating “link to this article” widget is a smart new way to compel webmasters to link to you. This prevents you from publicly asking for links to your website
  • Overnight success cannot be guaranteed at Google so despite everything else in place, your ranking improvement may take some time. Therefore, patience is the key here
  • Create a user-friendly website by embedding easy and seamless navigation as well as engaging content
  • Try to upload lengthy articles because this way you will be offering readers wealth of knowledge and you can include a lot of keywords too
  • Analyze the reasons for success of your competitors and evaluate their strategies. Try to incorporate their secrets into your tactics and see the results yourself
  • Prevent your website from Google Penalty by regularly inspecting your backlinks and removing those that are of bad quality or unreliable

SEO Don’ts

  • You need to write for your readers not Google bots so try to not stuff your article with keywords. It may get on the nerves of your readers and they might lose interest
  • Google stopped updating its PageRank toolbar years ago and therefore, you also shouldn't rely upon it as the most appropriate metric to decide backlinks
  • Getting links from blog networks might work for some time but in the long run you can expect penalty because these are a spammy way to increase ranking
  • Many beginners get obsessed with number of backlinks. The reality is that numbers don’t matter, quality and relevancy does
  • Your website will be penalized if you get links from unrelated sites so avoid it
  • Google will instantly be alerted about suspicious activity if you use sitewide backlinks so it is better to let it go
  • It is of no use to waste time on sites with bad reputation as a guest writer. Always write for good, reputable and relevant sites to attract more audience for your site
  • Avoid getting links from pages that contain many external links because the quality of such pages is never very good
  • Make the process of backlinks building completely natural by looking beyond your homepage
  • Using hidden texts or links is so 90s; if you do it today, you will be penalized
  • Google Penguin will immediately penalize your website if you over optimize anchor links
  • Never submit your website to every other search engine
  • Avoid plagiarism. Don’t ever copy any other site’s content otherwise your reputation will be damaged as well as your Google ranking
  • Too many ads above the fold will sabotage user’s experience on your website and you can expect Google penalty, so keep it close to minimum

Hope you find this article helpful, Happy SEO, Stop Thinking & Start Ranking.

Blogging can be a very rewarding occupation. You can choose to become either a paid blogger by getting employed or become a freelance blogger by starting your own blog. Both ways, you can easily earn considerably well. Making money via personal blogging although isn't as easy as it sounds but it is definitely worth trying.
We started blogging in 2006, with our 9yrs of experience with lot of mistakes and success we writing following tips, it would certainly help you create a successful blog.
How to Make Money Online from Blogging Today in 2016
How to Make Money Online from Blogging Today in 2016

Pay attention to Domain and Host:
You can host and operate a blog by using any of the following options
  1. Web-based platform like wordpress
  2. Self-hosted platform (which involves buying your own domain and web hosting service)
If you opt for the first option, the process will become easier since you will be guided by the Live Chat team at the particular platforms like BlueHost, Hostgator, SiteGround, DreamHost or WPEngine. There are various free blogging platforms like Tumblr, WordPress, Blogger and BlogPress. If you really want to start blogging to earn money then we would highly recommend that you choose a paid platform. You can find a reasonably priced web host with Bluehost that also offers a very good server and immediate account activation and you can buy your domain also since most of the hosting services also provide domain registration.
The key to a successful blog is to find a reliable web host. Choose the domain name wisely and get it registered almost immediately. Your cost for domain and hosting comes around $46/year.
Choosing the Right Theme and blog design:
The secret of a successful blog is to select a theme that is closest to your heart and you might want to explore further in the long run. Something that doesn’t excite you as a writer or blogger won’t prove to be productive for your blog’s success. Once you have selected the theme, you need to purchase it as well.
There are two halves of theme, the framework and the blog design. You can choose WordPress or Genesis for theme framework, which are quite flexible and probably the best choices at hand. Now you need to find the perfect blog design. Browse through your chosen framework’s marketplace and choose from their curated collection of themes.
The purpose of being very selective is because the first impression is created by the outlook and theme of your blog. If you want to play it safe, go for the widely popular theme in market places like Themeforrest , MyThemeShop or ElegentThemes and check out designs of blogs that are most successful. You get a theme for under $40.
Blog modification and Plugins:
Tweak the theme as much as possible to properly reflect your vision through it. Go for a minimalist approach as far as plugins are concerned. Such as you can use Google Analytics for WordPress, Twitter & Facebook share button plugins. This would be enough to generate popularity of your blog initially. Yoast SEO (free) is the plugin of my choice, it helps you create search engine optimized content and to better rank content in the Google search results.
Compelling Content:
Write and upload compelling content on your blog. Be comprehensive in informing about yourself as well by creating informative About Page and Contact Page, etc. You may also benefit from designing a logo for your blog if can’t design yourself, you can hire a freelancer to this job. Do upload a picture of yourself to enhance the authenticity and personalized feel of your blog. Posting your picture is beneficial because it makes people remember your blog, also Google love images and it certainly give an edge to boost search engine rankings. If can’t write you can use freelancer sites to hire writes it might cost you around $1.5 per article.

Monetization is the most exciting part of blogging, because this is where money is made (getting paid for your hard work).
Google Adsense and other Pay Per Click AD Networks:
You can opt for pay-per-click services for instance AdSense and start selling ad space. When someone visits your blog and clicks on the ads, the Google will pay you. The payment can be meagre like a dollar or two but once your blog gets established then you will be able to get high-paying ads too. Google always places relevant ads to the content so your readers don't feels ads annoying.
Direct Ad Sales:
Alternately, you can sell ad space to various companies so that they pay you a particular amount on a monthly basis to run their advertisements. This is call direct ad selling you can use BuySellAds or Google’s DoubleClick for publisher. The payment amount will rely upon your traffic as well as conversion rate. This is a better option to make money through your blog because you get a guaranteed amount every month.
Other form to generate revenue from your blog is by selling other people products as an Affiliate. Basically when people click ad and purchase the product you will a commission between 2% to even 100% depending on the products. Amazon affiliate program is best in the business because you get products to promote for almost any niche. How to make money from your Facebook page? Is it really possible?
How to make money from your Facebook page? Is it really possible?
With more than a billion users, Facebook offers an exceptionally lucrative opportunity for generating revenue. But, a majority of people often ask this question, How to make money from Facebook and is it really possible?

If you do some research, you would find success stories of a number of small time businesses that became big only by boosting their ecommerce sales through Facebook sharing feature.

With regards to Facebook marketing, it is the campaign that generally earns you public acceptance. Now, you must be thinking what distinguishes profitable and unprofitable campaigns.

A profitable campaign is something that immediately grabs attention of visitors to your profile. There are several strategies that marketers usually rely upon to boost their business on Facebook and make money. Here are five of them.

1. Advertising-Centric Ecommerce
To leverage the humongous reach and extremely customizable targeting of the ad platform at Facebook, marketers create ads that redirect clickers straight to their site. This tactic allows marketers to entirely bypass fan marketing and hence, proves to be very profitable option.
If you don’t want to waste a lot of time and creativity needed for fan marketing then this strategy would be helpful for you. If you search about success you will learn that this company achieved a 300% ROI via direct-to-website ad traffic strategy.

2. Fan-based Marketing
Fan marketing means that you sell ads to fans by posting it on their news feeds via your page. This is not a much responsive strategy for acquiring fans than conducting surveys or contests. Apparently, various multimillion-fan brand pages only manage to reach 7% or less fans. In fact, some brand pages have thousands of fans who never like or comment on a single of their post. Probably these fans haven’t even visited the page in months.

This means, to achieve success on Facebook through fan marketing strategy, you need to be as visible to your fans as possible. If your current page is not as popular or in the limelight, then make a new one and start approaching fans more ferociously. You will be able to develop a more targeted fan base if only you change your marketing approach. Acquire up-to-date understanding of ways to engage fans and you can expect better performance with your new page. For instance, Baseball Roses, which sell artificial roses that are created from actual baseballs, managed to reach 473% ROI through fan marketing on Facebook. As per the company head Mark Ellingson, their strategy fell flat with Google AdWords since no one was interested in learning about their innovative product. Similarly, Rosehall Kennel sells German Shepherds and achieved 4,000% + ROI on its fan acquisition.'s revenues also skyrocketed when the company started using Facebook for its marketing and the ROI increased by 150% only in the first six months of its inception.

3. EMAIL marketing
Companies are well aware of the worth of an average email subscriber and they also know that email marketing has extreme potential as far as revenues are concerned. For such marketers, whether the use fan marketing or not, Facebook ads makes a lot of sense to reach out to potential qualified subscribers. There are 16 different criteria for targeted Facebook advertising, which include age, gender, relationship status, location, interests, connection to your administered pages, education level, majors in college and workplace, etc. By sending contest oriented email campaigns that are already integrated with social networking sites, a Fortune 500 enterprise acquired 400% increment in email opening rate and 14% increase in click rates. Moreover, one-fifth of their subscribers turned into permanent fans, reveals JB Chicago president Steve Gaither, the marketing agency that helped the company achieve this.

4. SMS marketing
Research suggests that 24% of mobile marketers managed to meet their expected ROI with their SMS marketing campaign. Also, around 4% of all mobile owners/users tend to respond to a coupon for a service or product. A popular fast food franchise that sells fried chicken used SMS marketing approach to boost its sales. The company posted information regarding free text message coupons and sent it to the Facebook fans. Those who subscribed to this service were sent an SMS coupon daily for a month. This resulted in additional store revenue of $65,000.

5. Diverting Traffic to Your Ad-Supported Website
For a blogger or publisher, advertising is equally important as is content. Creating a Facebook page for your blog or website would mean growth in your fan base. You can easily post a link to your newest blog post or article and divert traffic to your site. Since pageviews is all that matters on blogs and sites, it is understandable that traffic from new fans and repeated fans traffic will increase revenues for your site. For instance, ProudSingleMoms developed a fan base of around 98,000 fans through Facebook ads for only $5,000 using AdSense ads. The company, explains its owner, chose blog topics that were interesting for moms and adjusted Google keywords into them, which generated high click fees.

5. Selling your own products or others product
Once you have large enough fan base related to the niche (target fans works better), you can sell your own product. Like you can use to create custom tshirt design and sell them to your fans. You can also sell products other people created as an affiliate marketer and get a commission from it. You use Clickbank to find products of any niche to sell to your audiences. 5 Big Mistakes Newbie Affiliate Marketers Should Avoid

Over the years to affiliate marketing we made lot of mistakes and even burnt some money along the way. Most of the time just by trying to do too many things at once and not calculating the P/L (Profit / Loss). Mainly because of “get rich quick” approach. That’s why we are listing top big mistakes to avoid so that new comers to the industry shouldn’t repeat the same.

Joining too many affiliate programs:

This is the most common mistake and almost every one do that. When writing an article if any service as a reference we just tend to go and join those programs and stuff whole article with affiliate links. Also placing affiliate ad banner of every company on the side bar, You can still see some site will be having nearly 10-15 banners. Funny thing is they promote Godaddy, Hostgator or Bluehost side by side without any contradiction. This not only make your site looks spammer for the readers also you couldn’t able to track which one doing best which doesn’t. Because you get commissions only when people purchase through your affiliate link or else you giving them a free advertising.

Not promoting affiliate ad related to your niche:

This is another mistake affiliate newbies make to make more money. You should always promote products related to the niche. People come to your site as you are the authority to that particular niche selling product not related to the topic doesn’t looks good also doesn’t convert as they might not be interested in that.

Simply promoting the product without using it:

It is understood that you can’t buy and test each and every product before promoting to your readers. But you should always keep the user first than the affiliate commission. You can’t promote crappy product because you $100/sale, that way you not only loose the commission but also your hard earned loyal reader. First test the product yourself then promote it to the readers if it’s a kind of the product your users might be interested in.

Not tracking the campaigns:

This the worse thing an affiliate marketer can do. When you use ad campaigns like Google ads, Facebook ads or of any kind you should able to track which campaign is converting well and which doesn’t. We use clickmeter to track the links. If you don’t do this you will end up losing money than making it.

Losing Patience and Interest:

This the biggest mistake almost every one do, we did in the beginning as well. We always want to get rich quick but life doesn’t way. If that’s the case I don’t needed to write article like this for this site. Like other profession it takes some research, time and effort. If you leave it in half way without any success you will be losing time effort and money spend on the campaigns.

There is no GET RICH QUICK method if it’s there seller no needed to sell those bullshits for $35 or $100… he would have made millions with his overnight get rich tool. Always get some solid education before starting and spend wisely on campaigns, make decisions on metrics and data but not assumptions. Happy affiliate marketing.
