Do upload a picture of yourself to enhance the authenticity and personalized feel of your blog. Posting your picture is beneficial because it makes people remember your blog, also Google love images and it certainly give an edge to boost search engine rankings. If can’t write you can use freelancer sites to hire writes it might cost you around $1.5 per article.

5 Big Mistakes Newbie Affiliate Marketers Should Avoid


Over the years to affiliate marketing we made lot of mistakes and even burnt some money along the way. Most of the time just by trying to do too many things at once and not calculating the P/L (Profit / Loss). Mainly because of “get rich quick” approach. That’s why we are listing top big mistakes to avoid so that new comers to the industry shouldn’t repeat the same.

Joining too many affiliate programs:

This is the most common mistake and almost every one do that. When writing an article if any service as a reference we just tend to go and join those programs and stuff whole article with affiliate links. Also placing affiliate ad banner of every company on the side bar, You can still see some site will be having nearly 10-15 banners. Funny thing is they promote Godaddy, Hostgator or Bluehost side by side without any contradiction. This not only make your site looks spammer for the readers also you couldn’t able to track which one doing best which doesn’t. Because you get commissions only when people purchase through your affiliate link or else you giving them a free advertising.

Not promoting affiliate ad related to your niche:

This is another mistake affiliate newbies make to make more money. You should always promote products related to the niche. People come to your site as you are the authority to that particular niche selling product not related to the topic doesn’t looks good also doesn’t convert as they might not be interested in that.

Simply promoting the product without using it:

It is understood that you can’t buy and test each and every product before promoting to your readers. But you should always keep the user first than the affiliate commission. You can’t promote crappy product because you $100/sale, that way you not only loose the commission but also your hard earned loyal reader. First test the product yourself then promote it to the readers if it’s a kind of the product your users might be interested in.

Not tracking the campaigns:

This the worse thing an affiliate marketer can do. When you use ad campaigns like Google ads, Facebook ads or of any kind you should able to track which campaign is converting well and which doesn’t. We use clickmeter to track the links. If you don’t do this you will end up losing money than making it.

Losing Patience and Interest:

This the biggest mistake almost every one do, we did in the beginning as well. We always want to get rich quick but life doesn’t way. If that’s the case I don’t needed to write article like this for this site. Like other profession it takes some research, time and effort. If you leave it in half way without any success you will be losing time effort and money spend on the campaigns.

Conclusion:

There is no GET RICH QUICK method if it’s there seller no needed to sell those bullshits for $35 or $100… he would have made millions with his overnight get rich tool. Always get some solid education before starting and spend wisely on campaigns, make decisions on metrics and data but not assumptions. Happy affiliate marketing.
